What does Swap My Wheels do?
You upload a photo of your own car, pick a set of wheels, and get a photorealistic impression of that car on those wheels. It is meant to answer one question before you spend money: does this set actually suit my car, in my colour, at my ride height?
Which cars does it work with?
The catalogue is BMW: original styling numbers with their spoke type, finish and diameters, searchable by chassis code. The render itself works from your photo, so any car in a clear photo can be given a set of wheels — but only BMW wheels can be picked from the catalogue by name.
What does it cost?
One credit per set of wheels on one photo. Credits are bought in bundles and do not expire, so an unused credit is still there next season. See the pricing section for the current bundles.
Is the first one free?
Yes. A new account gets one free credit, which is one complete render, so you can judge the result before paying for anything.
Do I need an account?
Not to upload. You can upload your photo and pick a set of wheels as a guest. An account is needed for the render itself, because that is the step that spends a credit — and when you register, the photo you already uploaded comes with you.
What kind of photo works best?
One sharp photo from the side or at three-quarters, with the whole wheel visible and not cropped by the edge of the frame. Daylight beats a dark garage. A phone photo is fine — JPG, PNG or WebP up to 12 MB.
How long does a render take?
Usually under a minute. The page tells you when it is done, so you do not have to keep reloading it.
Is the result a real photo of my car?
No, and it does not pretend to be. It is an AI impression built from your photo. Only the wheels and the area right around them are redrawn — everything else is your own pixels, so the car, the colour and the surroundings are genuinely yours.
Can I try wheels that are not in the catalogue?
Yes. Upload a photo of any set you have your eye on — a marketplace listing, a shot from a meet — and it is used as the reference for the render, exactly like a catalogue entry would be.
What happens to my photo?
Location data is stripped the moment the file arrives, so a photo taken on your driveway does not carry your address. Your photos are yours: they are served only to you through an ownership check, never from a public URL. Originals are deleted after 30 days and an upload from a visitor who never registered after 7 days. Your finished renders stay as long as your account does, and deleting your account removes everything at once.
In which languages is the site available?
Dutch on swapmywheels.nl, German on swapmywheels.de and English on swapmywheels.com. It is the same site and the same account on all three — only the language differs.
